Other duties as directed

Yesterday the rain came unexpectedly.
Not good for business or after-gallery walks.
I settled down to keeping a beady eye on the works.
Sis however...

Art takes it out of ya

Last night Steve, our Artist in Residence at Grimshaws, had an exhibition opening.  It was very exciting because many of the works included me and Sis with captions of our amazing wit.  But I'll tell ya, we're paying for it today.

Barney at Bunnings - more unsettling news?

I'm not easily spooked but I nearly fell off the tray of the ute when I saw this chap at Bunnings the other day.  Is it the mysterious Barney who sent me a rather self-satisfied blog postcard from St Davids back in June last year? The chap gets around.

Unsettling news

Word has it that some cats in Wales have their own blog.  How ridiculous.  As if.  On a totally different matter, Grimshaw's has received more stock for the library but I haven't had time to accession it yet.  Sam the Useful and Steve the Artist in Residence are away at present so we've had to do History with Grims.  Here we are with some chap called Egge who has nothing better to do than sit on the wharf all day.
No wonder he's history.

Library Holdings increase by 50% (or 200% from baseline)

I think I've got my stats correct.  Grimshaw's has received its third book!  This is something of a miracle given the posting address and sender.
Even the Wentworth Post Office is learning (possibly since the retirement of the Post Office Cat who could herself be the subject of a book...).
This is a book of great beauty.
But also a cautionary tale...

Library Holdings increase by 100%

As Library Monitor I'm pleased to announce the acquisition of this new compendium for the library.  It ingeniously consists of a calendar (there's no escaping them) with accompanying storybook.
This brings are library holdings to two (2).  Interestingly our first book is currently on loan to Rufus de Poodles and may have been his inspiration.  The Academy is truly a leader in education.

My Goodness, My Grimshaw

Grimshaw is back and I have relinquished my  position as Top Dog and resumed being Head Perfect.  This gives me more time to blog.  For some reason, Grimshaw is taken with this image from an English calendar.  Siss and I thought it heralded a change of diet but, no, still chicken necks around here.  Siss suggested giraffe necks but they're not easy to find (unless we move to Dubbo).  Actually a move to Dubbo could lift the profile of the Academy. Miss Grimshaw was astonished to receive this sent on by her cousin in Wales with whom she was residing when this missive was penned and posted.
